Conditions were awful with a biting wind and regular flurries of snow.

Hannah Haycock and Freya Kennedy ran in the Minor Girls 2000 metre race. Hannah ran with great guts and determination to finish 18th. Freya, despite being one of the youngest girls in the race finished a creditable 38th out of 129 finishers.

Grace Carson was next up in the Inter Girls 2 mile race. Grace showed her tremendous ability to stick with the leaders and managed to finish an excellent 12th place. This qualifies Grace for the Irish Schools championships which will be held in Clongowes Wood College, Dublin on Saturday 7th March. Grace is in fact the first ever girl from CHS to qualify for these championships.
