What is in the Library?

  • 8000 books! There is a large range of fiction and non-fiction books on the shelves.
  • Computer network – a number of computers are available for you to use for school purposes. A booking system is used if demand is high.
  • Selection of audio book cassettes and CD-ROMS. 

Why might I want to use the Library?

  • Reading for pleasure. You can borrow books to take home or read in the library.
  • To use the computers – get all the latest information for your school projects on the internet.
  • Need to check something out? Use a dictionary or encyclopaedia from the reference section.
  • Need a quiet place to study? Look no further.

libraryHow do I borrow items from the Library?
It’s easy! Just ask the Librarian to check out your books, cassettes or CD-ROMS on the library computer.

Years 8, 9, 10 Can borrow two books at a time. 
These can be kept for two weeks.

Years 11, 12 Can borrow up to three books at a time. 
These can be kept for two weeks.

Years 13, 14 Can borrow up to four books at a time. 
These can be kept for two weeks.

Staff Can borrow up to six books at a time.

Getting the most out of your Library
We all want the Library to be an enjoyable and relaxing place to visit. When you are using the Library, please remember the following:

  • be quiet and considerate
  • no food or drink allowed in the library
  • ask the librarian for help
  • handle books carefully
  • return books on time

Opening Hours 
(Closed for lunch 12.40 pm – 1.15 pm )
Monday – Friday 8.45 am – 4.15 pm
Open before school, at breaktime and lunchtime
