What is GCSE English Literature about?

GCSE English Literature enables pupils to become critical readers of poetry, prose and drama taken from a wide range of different contexts and cultures.  Students therefore develop independent skills interpreting stories, novels, poems and plays by analysing the presentation of characters, themes and settings.
