Cookery Demonstrations by Helen Bell

This week two Year 11 GCSE Home Economics: Food and Nutrition classes enjoyed cookery demonstrations by Helen Bell who was representing the Livestock and Meat Commission. 

Whilst she rustled up two tasty beef dishes, Helen educated the pupils about hygienic handling and storage of meat, the nutritive value of meat and the importance of the NI Farm Quality Assurance scheme in relation to guaranteeing traceability and good animal welfare. 

Pupils delighted in tucking into the delicious dishes Helen prepared for them!
