Spanish interpretation, a service to our community!

13 January 2015

Ian Stewart, Irish Football Association Manager, requested our support on Tuesday 16th December for live interpreting services in Spanish-English and vice-versa.

During the afternoon in Dungannon leisure centre, the Spanish futsal World Cup winner, Javier Lozano delivered coaching sessions on the pitch with secondary pupils while Dr Ranchoux acted as a live interpreter. Jamie Marlin, one of our pupils in 10DB was attending as a player. Over 100 football referees attended the event along with primary school pupils. The event was recorded and the press was also present.

We are delighted to have supported our local community with this regional event through language skills. Feedback from Ian Stewart, IFA manager, was very positive and we were told, no doubt, that we will be called upon again in the future.

We take this opportunity to thank Ian Stewart, the Irish Football Association Manager for the football tops and footballs kindly provided to our PE Department.
