CHS Big Book Vote

To celebrate World Book Day 2014, over 200 pupils took part in the ‘CHS Big Book Vote’. 


Pupils were asked to nominate books which have changed their lives and also their favourite books of all time. We used these votes to compile the ultimate reading list.  Our list is summarised below and free copies are available from the Library Resource Centre.

The CHS World Book Day activity linked in directly with the national World Book Day theme this year which was ‘Writes of Passage’.  Young people and adults across the nation nominated the books that have rocked their worlds.   The final list was announced by Children’s Laureate, Malorie Blackman, on World Book Day and is available to download from
