CHS Fitness Programme

With all the uncertainty and restrictions on travel and access to gyms and sporting facilities this programme has been written for the pupils, parents and members of staff of Cookstown High School to help keep up or improve their fitness levels. While you could just wing it and make up your workouts as you go, you’ll get much better results if you adopt a more structured approach to your training. This is an 8 week programme which works on cardiovascular fitness, along with muscular endurance, power and strength. You don’t have to do it for all 8 weeks but you could see it as a challenge to try and complete.

If you find an exercise too difficult, you can leave it out or replace it with another exercise that you are more comfortable with.
